AccelChip Appoints New Vice President of Marketing
Positions Company for Growth

Milpitas, CA., USA, September 24, 2003, AccelChip, the leading provider of high-level design tools and models for acceleration and implementation of DSP algorithms in silicon, today announced the appointment of EDA industry marketing veteran Tom Feist as Vice President of Marketing. In this role, Feist will oversee all product, strategic and corporate marketing functions.

Feist, a 14-year veteran of the electronic design automation (EDA) industry, joins AccelChip from Mentor Graphics, Inc., where he was group director of product marketing, responsible for marketing of Mentor’s synthesis technologies. Prior to this Feist held positions as vice president of marketing for Exemplar Logic and has also held senior design engineering functions at Boeing Aerospace Co. and BBN Delta Graphics. Feist holds a B.S.E.E. degree from Washington State University.

“We're delighted to have someone of Tom’s talent and experience join the company’s executive staff at this phase in our development. His extensive knowledge of the synthesis and FPGA market will be a great asset as we continue to develop and market tools that link the most widely used DSP algorithm development tool with existing IC and FPGA design flows,” said Dan Ganousis, president and CEO of AccelChip.

"Many DSP designers are seeking a rapid path from algorithms to silicon for increased performance, and to decrease system costs, power and form factor," said Tom Feist, vice president of marketing for AccelChip. "AccelChip is the only company providing the complete implementation and verification solution they are looking for. I'm excited to be joining this excellent team of people, and look forward to expanding the market opportunities for the AccelChip, AccelWare and future products."

AccelChip, Inc., founded in 2000 and headquartered in Milpitas, California, develops and markets design tools, intellectual property, and consulting services that enable a true, top-down DSP design process. AccelChip's innovative electronic design automation solutions link the domain specific DSP design environment with proven silicon design flows, allowing DSP algorithm developers to go directly form MATLAB to silicon implementation with high quality results.
