Altera Net Seminars Present Business and Technical Advantages of Stratix III FPGAs

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
What: Altera Corporation (NASDAQ:ALTR)
is hosting two net seminars
to introduce designers to the benefits of its new 65-nm
high-end Stratix(R) III FPGA family.

Learn from the Stratix III QuickCast how Altera's Stratix III
family, the industry's lowest-power high-performance FPGAs,
helps designers confidently meet their business and technical
requirements. This session will be presented by Jordan
Plofsky, Altera's senior vice president of marketing, and
Brad Howe, Altera's vice president of IC design engineering.

Vaughn Betz, Altera's director of software engineering,
presents Using Stratix III FPGAs to Achieve Higher
Performance Systems With Lower Power. Betz explains how the
Stratix III FPGA Programmable Power Technology and Quartus(R)
II design software's enhanced PowerPlay power analysis and
optimization technology can help designers achieve 50 percent
lower power and 25 percent higher performance compared to the
previous generation Stratix II devices. The discussion will
also cover Stratix III FPGAs' family variants, features and
benefits including enhanced density, adaptive logic module
(ALM) architecture, and supporting development tools.
