The MathWorks Showcases Model-Based Design at SAE World Congress 2006; CEO to Participate in Panel; Experts and Engineering Students to Present on Using MathWorks Tools in the Automotive Industry

international and U.S. representatives to discuss new
applications for vehicle electronics and
telecommunications.

-- Experts from The MathWorks will present papers about
Model-Based Design for the automotive industry at the
world's largest meeting and exposition devoted to
automotive engineering and product technology.

-- Engineering students from the Challenge X competition
will present papers that discuss using Model-Based
Design and MathWorks tools to reengineer a 2005 Chevy
Equinox.

The MathWorks will share their expertise in using Model-Based Design for automotive applications during the SAE World Congress 2006 technical program. Additionally, representatives will highlight the Company's role in Challenge X, a three-year student competition that gives engineering schools an opportunity to participate in hands-on research and development with leading-edge automotive propulsion, fuels, materials, and emissions-control technologies.
